FREEDOM WEEK

In honor of our Nation's freedoms,
this week is "Freedom Week".

To help us observe Freedom Week,
Army Maj. Gen. Ronald S. Chastain presented
Flag Education
to our CSMS 5th Graders this afternoon!

Thank you, Maj. Gen. Chastain!

A little about Maj. Gen. Chastain:  He has command thousands of soldiers, not only in Arkansas but soldiers serving abroad in harm’s way.  His 38‐year military career included serving as the adjutant-General of the Arkansas National Guard, Commander (of 5,000 soldiers) of the 39th Brigade Combat Team during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, and Commander of the 25th Rear Operations Center during Operation Desert Storm.  He served as Chief of Staff (during wartime) for the United States Forces Korea.  He has lived in Conway for more than 30 years and retired in 2010 as the Deputy Commanding General for the Arkansas Army National Guard at the U.S. Army Forces Command.  He is now a member of the Arkansas Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame and works with the office of Arkansas Senator John Boozman.  What an honor it was to have Army Maj. Gen. Ronald S. Chastain at CSMS!
